Citizens of Los Santos,
I write to you on this, the day the polls open, not with a plea, not with a promise, not with a wish. I do not feel the need to patronise you by telling you what to do – you are all, each and every one, a bright, intelligent spark in a world that flies too close to despair.
No, I write to you today with a warning. I warn you all about the menace that calls herself Oleander Addams.
Oleander Addams stood by would-be mayoral assassin, helicopter thief and career criminal George Sinclair 2 months ago when he attempted to become Mayor. In the time since, her 3 closest companion (Mr Sinclair, Roger Taylor, and Jay Walker) have repeatedly taken this state for fools. They’ve lied, they’ve taken the law as a suggestion, and they’re threatened the lives of so many citizens I can scarcely even begin to count them. Mr Sinclair put me in hospital, out of action for most of the past month – and he attempted to have Ms Addams killed.
And yet. Still, they stand shoulder to shoulder. Still, the man caught with a car filled with drugs, who stood by Mr Sinclair as he attempted to kill your Mayor, is Ms Addams campaign manager. And still, Oleander Addams will stand there with a vacant expression and tell you she has integrity.
People have said many things about Oliver Patterson. They have called me a liar, a thief, corrupt – the list is endless. But there is one thing they have never been able to give, one thing they have never shown – evidence. Even anecdotal evidence of my alleged crimes has not been forthcoming. I am many things, but I am an honest man, to a fault. The civil service I have built, and my own staff, have flawlessly clean records in this great city. Oleander Addams surrounds herself with dangerous, depraved sociopaths who don’t care who they hurt.
And they proved this again, mere days ago, when Roger Taylor got in a car driven by, he claims, Jay Walker just moments before I was tazed for the second time in a month.
Thankfully, I managed to avoid any heart complications this time. But make no mistake – this was a deliberate attempt on my life by close friend and campaign manager of Oleander Addams. A woman who is refusing to accept pay for being mayor, who claims she will be tough on crime, but will take the help and excuse the misdoings of her close personal friends.
This is not a girl who deserves trust – these are not the actions of a good, honest person. Oleander Addams continues to refuse to publicly condemn those closest to her, while at the same time acting with extreme prejudice to victimise and criminalise any who would stand against her gang of drug fuelled nutcases. Oleander Addams is not a politician. Oleander Addams is barely a journalist.
Oleander Addams is a would-be dictator. Oleander Addams wants the law to suit her and her friends. While happily hiding the man who attempted to murder her, and me, she also has her hand in with high-ranking police officials behind closed doors.
Oleander Addams isn’t just a bad pick for mayor. She is a rot that will destroy this city. And this, dear citizens, is my warning. Do not allow this woman power. There will come a time when, yes, I will no longer be your best choice for mayor.
But there is no worse choice than the corrupt, lying monster that calls itself Oleander Addams.
