Just a normal Friday night, some may say on the streets of Los Santos as I headed down to the Food Hall for a bite to eat to start my evening. The only stall open at the time – the Kebab House, being manned by Mr Juan Wick, was inviting me over.
After ordering and chatting for a few minutes, we were suddenly ambushed by the Forum Drive Families. However they were not there for me, before I could blink they began an intense attack with a hammer on Mr Wick, knocking him to the ground and fleeing the scene. The next few minutes were a blur as I took cover and shots began to whizz around the Food Hall. I dialled 911 shakily, requesting police attendance at the scene. As the noise and smell of gunpowder died down, a lone police officer arrived on scene. I ran up to explain what happened and provide my statement. Whilst chatting with the police, Mr Wick chose to not press charges or provide his statement on what happened at the time.
More gunshots rang out in the air around the Food Hall, then abruptly – they were inside. A battle between our Law Enforcement and green clad criminals ensued and I had to take cover once again. Soon though, the threat of severe endangerment met me almost face to face as I saw one of them at the counter, feeling a bullet fly past me a little too close for comfort. Mr Wick then took action, closing the shutter to ensure our safety inside the Kebab House.
Remaining low to the ground behind the till, we heard the pinging of ricocheting bullets off the closed shutters then suddenly, it was quiet. I posted on Birdy advising the general public to remain clear of the area as it was not safe. *The suspects had fled the scene and at this point had not been apprehended.
As we opened the shutter and peeked out to make sure the coast was clear, we breathed a sigh of relief. However, the Food Hall had clearly seen better days and that the chaos had mostly taken place near the back door.

Free from the threat of guns, or so I thought, I left the Food Hall to drive back to my Apartment. As I drove round the corner to Legion Park, a car stopped me in my tracks, pointing guns at me and demanding that I get out of my car and into theirs. I complied.
There I was met with a man dressed in priest robes and a devil mask, and a talking cow who moo’d a lot and gave me a Twerks bar to ensure I was sustained appropriately throughout the ordeal. After being driven up to Paleto Jewellery store, the intent was clear on the necessity for my attendance there. After a hesitant wait while the rest of their crew showed up – another 2 men dressed fully in white – the job was a go, but not before the talking cow gave me permission to take her photo!

I have been taken hostage once before, on the night, you may remember that Mr Jay Walker was attacked outside of the local Binco clothing store. Usually the requests are that you get on the floor with your hands on your head, however, the talking cow (now referred to as Maggy/Maggie by the latecomers) requested I make my best pose as we waited on police to attend. One unit arrived and upon leaving the store, I was rushed into the car whilst the heist crew made their escape as we chased quickly behind. Unfortunately, we lost the suspects shortly after but this provided me time to explain to the officer what had happened and she graciously returned me to my abandoned car on the corner of Legion Park.
We’d all be forgiven for thinking that was the end to my evening, however before a brief cool down at the bowling, I attended the Food Hall again to purchase some sugary goodness from Sweet Harts (Owned by local business owners, Mr & Mrs Hart). After noting Snr Buns was also open, where Roger Taylor was working as the Chef for the evening, I thought I would also show some support there. However, on arrival I mentioned that I only wanted something small as I had just had some cake and salad earlier. I purchased some Snr Strips and Roger began his barrage of slanderous accusations toward the small local business competitors within the hall. Firstly stating that I was ‘going to die because their food is full of mould’ to then accusations of the other businesses using ‘microplastics’.
I have a journalistic duty to find out the truth so I dived right in to investigate. After discussions with both open stores about their use of microplastics and the accusation against them, they were appalled. I left to discuss this further with Roger and at this point, he of course, denied any of this was said to me but the damage was done. A staged protest outside of the store began fronted by Mr & Mrs Hart and Mr Millar, after I was kicked out for ‘making a scene’ – where all I had asked for was the truth on his accusations. Again, this was denied and he began to get aggravated as the protest stood outside. Battalion Fire Chief, Max Millar, had recently purchased food and eaten from Snr Buns and began to feel unwell. He returned to store, asking for a refund ($30) which was refused, then offered at $1 per month, or $1 now and then $29 in a years time “as per process”. The refusal of the refund continued, now under the premise that Mr Millar needed a ‘doctors note’ to prove he was sick which of course is ridiculous. We have no update on whether this refund was issued in the end.
After a long night, it was clear that chaos still continues to take Los Santos by storm, and that our criminal underworld was not quashed by the Savala Cartel attack that caused the city to be evacuated. Be safe on the streets my friends.
*Weazel News have no update on the apprehending of the suspects for this shootout
