In Memory of the late Mayor Tobias Bamsford
Thursday 23rd February marked a sad day for the citizens of Los Santos. Even on this sunny day where it was glorious to bask in the sunshine, it was the day that the Late Mayor Tobias Bamsford was laid to rest from his short and fierce battle with cancer.
The procession started at City Hall led by acting Mayor Bryn Jones and followed by a strong presence of the LSPD. LSPD well-coordinated the traffic so the procession could flow safely and flowingly from city hall to the cemetery in Vinewood. Citizens and friends were asked to follow at the rear.
The Eulogy was opened by Atlas O’Brian, giving a kind and thoughtful speech to remind us of the late Mayor, describing him as a devoted mayor, public servant and friend.
So solemn was the congregation, quiet, pensive and deep in thought.
Acting Mayor Bryn Jones read poem “The Dash” by Linda Ellis – a thought provoking poem that reminds us that life is for living and loving the people in our lives.
The ceremony was formally closed by bagpipes and a gun salute in his memory.
