LOS SANTOS, SA – The security of Los Santos was brought into question on Saturday as The Lost Motorcycle Club took Los Santos Mayor Bryn Jones hostage. It has left citizens of the city in shock. Questions remain as to how this could have happened, and what happens going forward. While we await answers all people can do is hunker down and try to stay safe.
The LSPD has confirmed that Mayor Jones was shot, and while he is in critical condition he is safe and being cared for. Initial medical care was being carried out at Pillbox Hill Hospital. It remains unclear if he is still being held at the facility, or if he has been transferred.
An anonymous source has provided as many details as they can while officials wait to comment
The Lost MC kidnapped Mayor Jones from UwU Café on Saturday morning. Maverick King of The Lost arrived at the Mission Row Police Department making demands. Chief among these demands was for the police not to interfere with Lost business, and to stay away from the Lost territory. It is believed that this is in retaliation to a recent clash between the LSPD and The Lost. Maverick King was arrested by the LSPD on the spot.
Following this the LSPD chased the kidnappers North along the Great Ocean Highway. Our anonymous informant tells us that it was during this chase when Mayor Jones was shot around the area of Chumash. The chase then continued to Sandy Shores before the LSPD had to pull out. We are unsure if Mayor Jones was extracted at Chumash or Sandy Shores, or at some other point during the chase. We are told that there were roughly six members of The Lost involved with the kidnapping.
At 1:56 PM local time a presumed official Twitter account for The Lost MC posted a picture of Mayor Jones standing in front of a wall with his hands tied behind his back, with an assault rifle pointed at him. A caption reads “Meet our demands, or your mayor and innocent civilians die.” The individual holding the gun is not seen, but it is visible that they are wearing black open-back leather gloves and black sleeve tattoo on their left arm.
At 2:17 PM another tweet is posted reading “Our famed Police Department thought it was wise to intervene. The Mayor is dead. Long live freedom. Fuck the Policia.” As we have said, officials from the LSPD have reported that Mayor Jones is in fact alive.
Following these events Los Santos continued to be terrorized by several gangs, among them were The Lost and an unknown gang sporting blue cars and blue clothing. Their activities included everything from speeding through the city and blocking intersections, to leading the police on high speed pursuits and shootouts around the city. SWAT teams were released to try to suppress the activities. Much of the shooting seemed centered around the Mission Row Police Department, where I personally saw as many as four fully armed officers posted along the roof of the building. Further aerial support was provided by a police helicopter circling the area.
There have also been reports that Gianna and Barry Cornell were taken into custody by the LSPD. We will await to announce the charges until we receive official confirmation. Gianna and Barry Cornell are the latest newlyweds of Los Santos. In a story about their engagement only a few weeks ago they informed me they did not have any solid plans for after the marriage, but I’m sure no part of that involved spending the night behind bars. While it’s still early to understand the full association of the Cornell’s with the activities of The Lost, our source tells us they were responsible for a splinter gang of The Lost, and were among the individuals leading the unrest.
As the city tries to take stock of what transpired on Saturday, the big questions on everyone’s minds is how did this happen, and what happens now? How does one of the most powerful and beloved individuals in Los Santos get kidnapped on a clear day from one of the busiest places in Los Santos? Who will stand in to comfort the city while the Mayor recovers? In the past we looked to the Mayor to answer these questions. Hopefully the days to come will offer answers.
This is a developing story. Updates will be provided as new information becomes available. If you have any information on this story that you can share I can be reached by text message at 520-2878. Any information that may lead to an arrest should be directed to the Los Santos Police Department.
