The polls open
On the evening of 25th February; both candidates Acting Mayor Bryn Jones and Candidate George Sinclair met on the steps of City Hall to discuss their plans for their future time in office.
What were the takeaway points of the debate and discussion?
Both candidates have smaller ideas for change that could effect positively the quality of life of the current citizens and new citizens, including car rentals, job fayres and tackling crime. Mr Sinclair also confirmed that to implement the changes he would like to do would require an increase in citizen taxes. But, what stood out the most was that both candidates have a very different vision of how they would build the Department of Justice.
Acting Mayor Bryn Jones discussed his current progression of how he has already met with talented lawyers to act as mediators. These same faces would form the starting block for the DoJ and could potentially grow in to the Chief of Justice role under guidance and tight support of Law enforcement and City Hall.
Mr Sinclair, has a very alternative more hands on approach. Advising that he would ultimately set up a boxing ring for citizens to fight out their differences for the civil cases.
So, really: What do you see? What do you want fellow voter?
Will we fight across a table? Or shall we fight in a boxing ring?
We have included a video for you to watch that covers all the discussion points from the evening.
