September 1st, meant to be a day of celebration for the Patterson administration, a second term won after having received no challenge for his position, came and went with no fanfare in the least. Now, eleven full days have passed, and the Mayor has yet to be seen. Members of his staff, Hugh Mann and Paddy McGinty, former employees of Patterson’s Cab Company have also not been seen during the same period of time. As a matter of fact, the only active city hall staff is Policy Chief Lenny Burge, previously unassociated with Patterson, who himself has been seen multiple times on Twitter questioning the mayor’s whereabouts.
Which leads to the question on everyone’s mind lately, where is Mayor Patterson?
I spoke with Lt. Don Chester with the LSPD who stated the PD were aware of the mayor traveling overseas to tend to some family matters, however he has been gone for far longer than expected, having had no contact to this point and are currently investigating to ensure nothing amiss has occurred.
Even the current manager of his own cab company, Travis Bickle, has no idea of his location, recently reaching out to this reporter for answers. Surely, if someone had taken the mayor upon his return from overseas, a ransom or some sort of demand would be made to either the police department, his friends or to the public.
To make the situation even more curious is the absence of his entire support team, close friends and former Patterson’s Cab Company employees. All gone, without so much as a warning. The doors to the mayor’s office, previously opened for public entry, are now locked, having been so for some time. The hallways empty, the air filled with silence. No work, no promises, the emptiness only filled with questions.
